Best for
A single digital strip — desk, TV backlight or shelf — controlled over WLED

Pros

  • +Tiny sealed inline module with pigtail leads — hides behind a strip
  • +Onboard microphone for sound-reactive effects
  • +Two variants: GL-MC-001WL runs off 5V USB, GL-MC-002WL off a 12–24V barrel jack
  • +Ships pre-flashed with WLED, no gateway needed
  • +Cheapest entry into the Gledopto WLED range

Cons

  • One data output only — no multi-zone splitting
  • 3A total output limits it to short strips
  • Wi-Fi only, no Ethernet
  • Pick the right voltage variant up front — 5V and 12–24V are separate models

The Gledopto Mini is about as small as a WLED controller gets: a sealed inline module the size of a thumb, with a data pigtail on one end and power on the other. It drives a single digital strip from GPIO16 at up to 3A total, which suits a desk edge, a TV backlight or a shelf rather than a whole room. Despite the size it carries an onboard microphone, so sound-reactive effects work without an add-on board, and it ships pre-flashed with WLED — join the "WLED-AP" hotspot and you're configuring it in a browser, no gateway required. It comes in two voltage flavours that are otherwise identical: the GL-MC-001WL takes 5V over a USB-A plug, and the GL-MC-002WL takes 12–24V over a DC barrel jack. Supported chips include WS2812B, WS2815, SK6812, SM16703 and WS2814A. For more than one strip, or longer runs, step up to the four-output ESP32 UART.
